San Vittore del Lazio still houses some ancient oil mills. The best preserved ones are located in the current Via Roma, once called Borgo Santa Maria or 'il Colle'. Active until the last century, they are characterized by the presence of large stone millstones driven by the driving force of pack animals and testify to the centuries-old vocation for oil production The images below refer to the oil mills located in the homes of the Bonaventura / Pontecorvo and Ciaraldi families.
